Our beautiful and mystical Amphitrite act came into being as a product of a Client Project - from her custom-made crown to her seashell body art, this act was completely bespoke.

Client Brief

London-based, Amphitrite Insurance was hosting an event to launch its rebrand, and to it invited all of its Insurance Brokers. The new brand was centred around its new logo, depicting the company’s namesake - Amphitrite, the Goddess of the Sea.

The client approached us to design a themed centrepiece act for the launch, inspired by the new logo. In line with the format of the event - a corporate and formal business champagne reception, the Creative Team at CEP presented the following pitch to the client:

“Imagine, elevated on a raised plinth, illuminated by spotlight your very own Amphitrite - a beautiful and sophisticated Goddess of the Sea, body-painted and decorated with ocean-inspired prosthetics by our professional Makeup and Body Artist, dressed in a bespoke, custom-made dress and seashell crown headpiece. She interacts with guests as they circulate the room, and have their photo taken with her in front of your corporate logo backdrop.

We accompanied this pitch with an illustration by our in-house designer to bring the act to life for the client. Every project we undertake with a client is highly personalised, as we work with them to ensure we incorporate their feedback and suggestions into the act to ensure we pull their idea into reality with our acts.

As such, following the pitch and illustration, the client requested a few tweaks - such as wanting a trident (to match the client’s logo), which we then had hand-made. Our in-house Seamstress then sourced the materials and modelled the dress to one of our performers, with the Creative Team making real-time edits with her as the costume was created.

The Event

On the day of the launch, our professional hair, makeup and body prosthetic artist accompanied the performer and readied her into costume from her hand-made blue wig to the body paint and prosthetics such as pearls and shells.

In addition to the Amphitrite act, we also provided the client with Cloakroom services, catering with canapés and drinks, a Technician to manage sound, lighting and microphones and a Brand Ambassador to hand our gifts to guests upon their arrival.

Conclusion

We received positive feedback from Amphitrite Insurance who were pleased and delighted when their guests all interacted with the act, taking photos for their social media. The client has enquired to work with us for their future corporate events.
