Somersby Cider promotion at Wireless Festival

At the popup Somersby Manor in Finsbury Park, London, a selection of CEP’s finest dancers and the one and only Lord Somersby - a custom created act for the client, Somersby Cider - entertained guests all weekend long at Wireless Festival.

With the impressive backdrop of headlining acts like Drake, Avicii, Knife Party and David Guetta, our dance troupe of actors and performers moved to the music of the festival dressed in Rococo French style (think, a modern take on Marie Antoinette) clothing and wigs, and interacted with the festival-goers, encouraging them to take selfies with them behind a guided frame.

We worked alongside the client to fully understand the branding message before providing all of the acts and auditioning dancers for the client to select. All of the costumes and props, such as fans, were also designed with the client’s objective in mind, and were branded with the Somersby Cider logo.

The Rococo Dance Troupe rehearsed multiple choreographed sets, which were performed eight times per day of the festival, to songs from multiple genres such as pop, contemporary and R&B. Our choreographer worked with the dancers to create a routine which could be quickly adopted by the festival goers - who didn’t hesitate to join in, as a huge crowd gathered around the Somersby Manor.

The central character to this installation, was Lord Somersby - Lord of the Somersby Manor who welcomed guests inside with a boisterous and playful script.

Once inside the Somersby Manor, which was created by Somersby Cider, guests were entertained by our performers before exiting via a huge tunnel slide with automated photo and buying a glass of cider.

The client’s objective was to build brand awareness of the new cider at Download, Wireless and Reading Festival - at all of which CEP provided this Somersby Cider entertainment. The client was so happy with the results of this experiential marketing that they rebooked for the following year.
